Students will work with integrative medicine faculty primarily in the outpatient setting. Our faculty are experienced with an
d have training in a range of integrative medicine and healing modalities. Opportunities may include, but are not limited to: outpatient integrative medicine consultations, integrative medicine within a primary care practice session, integrative shared medical appointments in the teaching kitchen, acupuncture, osteopathic manual medicine (OMM), functional medicine consultations, Ayurvedic medicine, use of plants and herbal medicines, and mind-body medicine.
Details of this rotation are arranged with the medical student coordinator and the director of integrative medicine in order to meet your specific educational goals.
The clinical settings for this rotation are: the Family Medicine Institute, Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice, Maine Dartmouth Collaborative Care Center, and the Alfond Center for Health.
