Maine-Dartmouth has openings for the following positions:

ONMM Physician: We are seeking an NMM-certified (or board eligible) osteopathic physician, also boarded in family medicine or internal medicine, with comprehensive skills in direct and indirect manipulative techniques and a passion for teaching, to join our one-year osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine (ONMM) residency as faculty. This position combines clinical work with protected time for teaching and research. Our unique collaborative care center blends osteopathy with integrative and functional medicine for a holistic and patient-centered approach to care. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, flexible, dedicated to high quality patient care, and has an interest in physician leadership. Experience in multiple modalities and interest in consultative inpatient and specialty outpatient practice is a must.

Integrative Medicine/Family Medicine Physician: We are seeking an ABFM or AOBFP-certified faculty physician with advanced training or certification in integrative medicine to teach and practice family medicine and champion the integrative medicine curriculum within our family medicine residency. This position is based at the Family Medicine Institute in Augusta and encompasses direct clinical care, teaching, and curricular development. The ideal candidate is a compassionate physician and enthusiastic teacher with strong clinical skills, expertise in alternative and complementary approaches to health care, and a commitment to high quality patient-centered medical care. Familiarity with University of Arizona’s Integrative Medicine in Residency (IMR) program and with medical marijuana certification in Maine is a plus. Willingness to practice full spectrum outpatient and inpatient family medicine (including obstetrics) is preferred, but we welcome applicants who desire outpatient primary care practice only.

Family Medicine Physician: This core family medicine residency faculty position combines direct clinical care, teaching, curricular development, and administrative work, with opportunities available to practice full-spectrum family medicine including obstetrics. AOBFP or ABFM board certification is required, and candidates skilled in osteopathic manipulative therapy are strongly preferred. The position is based at Maine Dartmouth Family Practice in Waterville.

NP/PA: We have an opening for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant with strong clinical skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary team-based care to join our Augusta outpatient family medicine practice (the Family Medicine Institute). Comfort with underserved populations in a primary care setting is a plus, experience in delivering acute and preventive primary care is a must. The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, and dedicated to high quality team-based patient centered care. Opportunities exist to teach and to pursue areas of passion within family medicine practice.

Geriatrician: This opening is for a DO or MD with board certification in family medicine or internal medicine and board certification (or eligibility) in geriatric medicine, based at Maine Dartmouth Geriatric Medicine in Augusta. The position is embedded within our geriatric medicine fellowship and encompasses a combination of administrative, leadership, clinical, and teaching responsibilities. The ideal candidate is committed to best practice in the care of older adults, prioritizes person-centered medicine, and has the clinical versatility to provide direct or consultative care across settings (including outpatient, inpatient, long-term care, skilled nursing, and home-based care).

Clinical Dermatologist: This position for a board-certified dermatologist is based in the Waterville office of MDFMR Dermatology, an established and growing dermatology practice that uniquely blends outpatient clinical work with teaching opportunities. MDFMR Dermatology’s focus is medical and surgical dermatology with additional services such as Mohs surgery, phototherapy, vascular LASER, and total body photography available on site.  The clinical team utilizes medical scribing to help with precision and efficiency.  Time for teaching and research is both valued and protected.
