Julie began her education in women’s health in 1986. She received her nursing education from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Southern Maine. Julie went on to complete her midwifery education at Boston University and achieved her master’s in public health along with her midwifery and AMCB certification. Julie has been practicing as a certified nurse midwife for twenty years, most recently working for MaineGeneral Medical Center since 2009. Julie feels it is a special privilege to support and care for women and their families during all phases of life. In addition to prenatal care, Julie specializes in women’s health services including contraceptive care, well women exams, and menopause support. Julie enjoys time with her husband, three daughters, and grandchildren. She is an avid runner and has completed ten marathons and several half marathons over the years. Julie also enjoys knitting, reading, gardening, and travel.
