John earned his undergraduate degree at Sewanee-The University of the South in Sewanee TN, and was awarded a master’s degree in biological sciences from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia PA. He completed medical training at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, family medicine training at St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency in Jacksonville, FL, and both a sports medicine fellowship and ONMM residency at Maine-Dartmouth. He joined Maine-Dartmouth as a faculty member in September 2020 and splits his time between the family medicine and ONMM residencies. John is an active member of the Maine Osteopathic Association and was recently elected to the board of directors. He also volunteers as a sideline physician for Winslow High School. John’s personal interests include road and mountain cycling, CrossFit, and soccer.
