Elizabeth Rothe, MD, FACSM, Associate Program Director, Sports Medicine Fellowship

Dr. Rothe earned her medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA and completed family medicine residency training at Maine Medical Center, where she also later completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship. She is certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine with added qualifications in sports medicine. She practiced family and sports medicine for 10 years in Lewiston, Maine before joining  MaineGeneral’s sports medicine team. She is the associate director of the sports medicine fellowship and has been the head team physician for Colby College since 2019.

Dr. Rothe specializes in non-operative sports medicine, including musculoskeletal injuries, concussion management, and female athletes.
