Sydney Sewall, MD

Dr. Sewall comes to Maine-Dartmouth after practicing pediatrics in Augusta for 34 years. His previous responsibilities included teaching, and he looks forward to interacting with the resident physicians.  He lives in Hallowell with his wife Deb, who is a retired school librarian. His two adult children graduated from Hall-Dale in the 1990s, and he now has 4 grandsons!   Dr. Sewall received his medical degree from University of Cincinnati in 1975. Prior to arriving in Augusta, he trained at University of New Mexico in pediatrics, and then spent 3 years working for the Indian Health Service. He earned an MPH degree at Harvard in 1997. He is a past president of the Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and has participated in many statewide initiatives over the years to improve child health.
