Reuben Baker, MD

Medical School: Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
Family Medicine Residency: Family Medicine Residency of Idaho

Reuben grew up in Virginia, completed undergraduate education in North Carolina, and taught middle school in New Orleans before deciding to complete a post-baccalaureate pre-med program and apply to medical school. He graduated from medical school at Brown University where he also met his partner, Ellen. Interested in primary care from the start, Reuben was thrilled to learn about full-spectrum family medicine. Captivated by the breadth of training as well as the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, he and Ellen both completed residency at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Boise, ID.

Trained as a full-spectrum family physician, Reuben is excited to provide inpatient medicine and family-centered obstetrical care, as well as care for patients in the clinic setting. He has a special interest in providing transgender care as well as family planning and reproductive care, including vasectomies. He enjoys teaching medicine as well as advocating for his patients and colleagues. He looks forward to returning to gardening on the East Coast and exploring Maine and its beautiful mountains!
