Lisa Lucas, DO

Medical School: University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine
Family Medicine Residency: Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Family Medicine Residency at CentraState Medical Center

Dr. Lisa Lucas joined the faculty in summer of 2017.  She is originally from NY but completed the majority of her education in New England.  She completed her undergraduate chemistry degree at Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and medical degree at UNECOM in Biddeford, ME.  Lisa pursued her family medicine training in a community hospital in NJ and stayed on to practice clinically and teach, as a clinical instructor in the Rutgers Family Medicine Residency at CentraState.  It was at CentraState where she solidified her love of teaching medicine.  She recently moved back to Maine where she worked at UNECOM as an assistant clinical professor of medicine and then joined MDFMR as faculty.  Lisa is passionate about primary care and incorporating integrative and practical methods of osteopathy that improve health through nutrition, exercise, and osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Outside of medicine, Lisa attempts to keep up with distance running as well as her husband and three young children.  She is a chemist at heart, often trying new recipes in the kitchen.  Lisa is excited to explore more of Maine, mostly in the realms of food, outdoor activities, festivals, music and more food.
