Originally from White Plains, NY, is a medical school graduate of Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA and a 2003 graduate of Maine Dartmouth. After completing residency, Tanya worked as a family practice physician in Pittsfield, ME. In addition, she served as a medical director at a rural nursing home. She chose to complete the geriatric fellowship in order to further her work in nursing home care. Her past volunteer activities include organizing lectures on women’s issues, interactive lectures on stress management and working with high school students on sexually transmitted diseases. Tanya graduated from the fellowship in the fall of 2008 and is currently working in an ACE unit in Massachusetts.
