Sabina grew up on Long Island, New York, and moved to Louisiana, where she finished college, medical school and completed her residency at Louisiana State University, in New Orleans and Lafayette, LA. She has always enjoyed geriatrics and was attracted to the Geriatrics Fellowship at Maine-Dartmouth, with its focus on neurology. She was attracted by the relaxed, collegial and highly academic atmosphere of the residency program. She finds the tapestry of the residents and faculty quite remarkable. She was pleasantly surprised and delighted, by the amazing natural beauty of Maine. She and her husband, Lee, enjoy snowmobiling, jetskiing, hiking, whitewater rafting. The couple has three wonderful children between them, Steven, Kristina and Matthew.
