Jodine Sejour

Morehouse School of Medicine
Family Medicine Residency – University of Miami

Jodine

Jodine was born and raised in Miami, FL. Her parents emigrated to the U.S. from Haiti via the Bahamas in the early 1970’s. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Miami where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology. She then left Miami to complete her medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Feeling the pull of home, Jodine returned to Miami where she completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Miami.

It was in the beginning of her 2nd year of residency, July 2003 she had the opportunity to go to Haiti for two weeks as part of an international elective. While at Justinien hospital in Cap Haitien, Haiti, she met her future husband Jose Donatien who was a third year resident in Family medicine. In 2005 she completed her program and began working at a group practice in Liberty City, Florida. The patient population was primarily geriatrics. It is at that practice she realized the joy of serving and providing care to the older population. She provided medical lectures in the community and held yearly health fairs during Breast Cancer awareness month.

Jodine is very active in her church as well. She serves on the finance committee and usher board. She teaches Sunday school and assists anyway she can. Jodine is the proud mother of four bright, lovely children. In her spare time, when she can find it, she enjoys dancing, spending time with her family and catching up with her favorite soap opera, General Hospital.
