Suzanne returned to her home state of Maine after practicing medicine in northwestern Vermont. There she gained experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, rural family practice and internal medicine. She graduated with a master’s degree from the Physician Assistant Program at the University of New England in 2004. Prior to her medical training she had worked as a teen health coordinator and health educator, a domestic violence counselor, a Peace Corps volunteer and has worked in genetic research. She graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Vermont.
She is excited to be living back in the beautiful state of Maine. She enjoys organic gardening, hiking, canoeing and watching her two small boys flourish in their new country home. She and her husband are planning to develop a small winery and organic berry farm on their new 10 acre hillside farm. She is thankful to be working in such a supportive environment, enjoys teaching medical students and loves the blend of academics, community service and access to quality healthcare that Maine Dartmouth provides to this community.
