Persis received her master’s degree in primary care nursing from Northeastern University. She was on the faculty of MDFMR, caring for patients at the Family Medicine Institute, for 17 years. During that time she completed the fellowship in integrative medicine from the University of Arizona. She left MDFMR in 2013 to take a job at Functional and Integrative Medicine of Idaho. While there she obtained a certification in functional medicine from the Institute of Functional Medicine. She returned to MDFMR in 2016 to work at the Maine Dartmouth Collaborative Care Center, where she provides consultative care in functional and integrative medicine.
