So, I’ve been told to write a “bio” (The Webster definition is “a description or account of someone’s life and the times” and Wikipedia’s “a human life in its course”) [Is this when you write what you want on your tombstone?]
Initially a Philosophy major, a loss of income encouraged a turn toward nursing for 20 years, mostly in intensive care. I became a nurse practitioner in 1996, working in various settings including family practice offices, homeless health, psychiatry, cardiology and a trauma unit in the Middle East.
Working at Maine Dartmouth is a great place to work because of the amazing people with whom I work and the lovely patients with whom I have been honored to share in their health care.
My interests are being outside, cross country skiing, sharing time with friends and family, reading, and adventures (you know like Harry Potter or The Hobbit).
