Julie Zale

Julie Zale graduated from the University of Washington, MEDEX program in 1992. She has worked in multiple medical areas including Internal and Family Medicine, Correctional Medicine, Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Prior to her studies as a Physician Assistant, she was a Registered Nurse for 24 years. She studied at Yale University and completed her nurses training at Yale New Haven Hospital. She worked in ICU/CCU, Emergency Medicine, Flight Medicine and Education. She has worked not only in the United States but in the Caribbean and Israel. When not at FMI, she spends her time doing stained glasswork and horseback riding. She teaches children and adults (with and without disabilities) about horses and horsemanship. She also has a menagerie of dogs, cats, bearded dragons, flowers and weeds. Her secret passion is to escape to an island in the Caribbean where she and her “husband” can spend their time reading, floating, sailing, scuba diving and horseback riding.
