John Woytowicz, MD

University of Rochester Family Medicine Residency
John joined the faculty in the fall of 1995, after practicing for five years at a rural community health center in Madison, Maine. A graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1986, he completed a Family Practice residency at the Highland Hospital, University of Rochester in 1989. In addition to his clinical practice that includes obstetrics, he has a special interest in herbal and alternative medicine and health care for the gay/lesbian community. John served as the Medical Director of the FMI for 6 years, stepping down from that role in 2006 to focus on expanding our integrative medicine curriculum. He enjoys gardening, running, and kayaking, and aspires to be an accomplished potter.
