Jenifer Van Deusen

Education Specialist

Currently, Jen serves as Educational Coordinator at Maine-Dartmouth, where she ensures compliance with accreditation requirements, coordinates curriculum, instruction and assessment, supports faculty development and develops new approaches to learning and teaching. Jen has proven creation, planning and management of large-scale programs in progressively responsible roles. Her background includes successful organizational development, program development, curriculum creation and implementation, grant writing and training experience, as well as extensive team development, communications, marketing and writing.


In her 35 year career, Jen has been a classroom teacher, an internal leader of school change, a state department of education specialist and team leader, curriculum director for a school district, and national education consultant. Moreover, Jen held the directorship of a statewide network of teachers teaching funded by multi-million dollar federal grants she wrote.


Jenifer holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education/Media Studies from Goddard College and Lesley University and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of Southern Maine. For fun, Jen loves hiking, knitting, gardening, reading, singing, watching films, and exploring inner and outer frontiers.
