Cheryl Seymour, MD

Dartmouth Medical School
Greater Lawrence Family Medicine Residency, Massachusetts

Cheryl Seymour, MDCheryl began her training in family medicine in childhood, growing up on a small family farm where she attended the births of countless baby lambs. In college, she studied biomedical engineering and learned about the applications of telemedicine technology to improve care in underserved areas across the country. Cheryl became a founding member of the Rural Health Scholars program at Dartmouth Medical School which allowed her the opportunity to intern with “real” rural family doctors in New England and abroad. Cheryl first came to Maine-Dartmouth for her third-year family medicine rotation and then went on to complete residency in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Cheryl returned to Maine in 2004, graduating from our geriatrics fellowship and subsequently becoming faculty. Now in addition to full-spectrum clinical practice, her work in the residency community includes coordinating residency recruitment efforts. She is also the medical director of the Maine Migrant Health Program. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her partner and daughter and their two irrepressible puppies.
