Chris Lutrzykowski, MD

Chris Lutryzkowski, MDChris was elected Chief Resident at Maine-Dartmouth and stayed to serve as a second year chief during the 1996-97 academic year. From 1997 to 2001 he practiced at MaineGeneral Health/Gardiner Family Practice and then from 1998-2002 at D.F.D. Russell Medical Center in Leeds. He was instrumental in designing and opening additional practices in Turner and Monmouth.

Chris brings a full range of family medicine skills, with particular interests in adolescent and sports medicine. He has developed sports medicine relationships with student athletes, athletic trainers and high school teams, serving as the team physician for the Winthrop schools since 1997. He took a year off from his faculty position to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. Chris returned to Maine Dartmouth in 2007 to focus on sports medicine and is currently working as Associate Director of the residency but primarily in sports medicine.

Chris lives in Winthrop with his wife Ellie, son Ryan, and daughter Avery. In addition to time with his family, he enjoys bicycling, mountain bike racing, hiking, alpine sports and woodworking.
